The Auckland Bluegrass Club was established in 1982 and it still going strong. We meet at Cityside in Mt Eden Road, monthly on the second Wednesday of the month (except January), and occasionally hold concerts at other times as well.

Club nights are when club members take turn to perform, preferably in groups.

Guest nights are when club performers (sometime called floor spots or floor performers) make up the first part of the evening. After an interval a guest group performs for about an hour.

A concert consists of two sets by the guest artists, sometimes with a short warm up set with a club performers.

Bluegrass and our other genres are social by nature so we give preference to groups over solo performers. If you want to perform we encourage you to come early and ask some club musicians who will be only to glad to back you.
