Never heard of that bluegrass-country-jazz-swing?
No, it’s not a song title, it’s a rhetorical question that points you in the direction these guys are going.
The Remarkables are Neil Finlay on guitar and harmonica, Bryan Christianson on banjo, Garry Trotman on bass and Pete Parnham on lead and slide guitars – and everybody sings a bit.
With Pete Parnham back in the band you have to find out for yourself what they’ve been up to before they hit the Wellington Folk Festival at labour week end.
There’ll be floor singers to start, but you’ll need to so get there early and put your name down, judging by the numbers flocking back to the Auckland Bluegrass Club.
