Jam session Wednesday 4 Sept 7:30pm. In town.

If you find yourself retreating to the bedroom and playing to yourself, for well …fun… here’s a tonic that will restore your musical self esteem, give you instant social credibility, and put everything right with the world.

Thanks to the generosity of a supporter, Auckland Bluegrass Club has got the key to The Greenhouse in Ponsonby on the first Wednesday of the month for a jam session. Better still, there is lots of free parking right next door. (If you’re not from Auckland you might not realise what a big deal this is).

Of course you can come and sit quietly and observe, sit on the out edge, or come to listen – we don’t mind. But if you are up for it, we’d love you to work up a song or two you’d be prepared to sing – something you know will work for jam. If you need some ideas, check out the Auckland Bluegrass Club Songbook available to subscribers.

By holding it the week before our regular Bluegrass Club events at the Bunker there will be lots of chances to put together something that sounds good for a floor spot the following week.

And we can jam.
